





JAIME GHER, ESQ.
Jaime is a lifelong reproductive justice activist and human rights advocate. She started her career practicing labor and employment law at Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco. She then transitioned into human rights litigation and advocacy to advance reproductive, gender, racial and disability justice worldwide. Over the past two decades, Jaime has worked with the Center for Reproductive Rights, GIRE, Amnesty International, and the United Nations to uplift the lives and advance the rights of multiply marginalized, stigmatized and criminalized populations across the USA and internationally.
With changing tides throughout the US, Jaime has refocused her energies and legal practice closer to home. She now advocates for individuals and couples seeking to create their families through assisted reproduction, including with the assistance of donor gametes and embryos, IVF and surrogacy. She also works to protect the rights of individuals and families created through third party reproduction, including through parentage orders and adoptions, represents LGBTIQ+ individuals to ensure their rights, identities, and legal protection. Finally, she provides estate and legacy planning services to help individuals and couples safeguard the security of their families.
Jaime is licensed to practice law in California. She has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of California Santa Barbara (highest honors), a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of San Francisco (cum laude), and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from American University, Washington College of Law.
